Roll Boxes
I've been rolling these swiss rolls all different ways with various fillings and flavours. These were ordered as presents... to be precise..for ppl that like minimal cream on their cakes..these would be perfect since there is no cream frosted on the rolls. Comes in a beautiful box...perfect for spring..guess im already thinking ahead of the winter months!

White Malt Cake
As you all know ( if u've been following my blog ) im an avid fan of maltesers and all things malt. This cake is maltilicious! Chocolate cake frosted with white chocolate malt buttercream sprinkled with maltesers. I actually used white malt and horlicks ( my fave night time drink) mixed together to give the perfect aroma....such a toasty cake!

Chocolate Marquise
This dessert is scrumptious!Tastes like chocolate mousse but only better...a cross between it and ice cream. Served cold with vanilla icecream, berries or whipped cream.Chocolate Marquises are normally kept frozen and can be kept for months. Just pull it out of the fridge and u can slice a piece to serve anytime you have company.

Chocolate Shortcake
I was always wondering how a strawberry shortcake would taste like with chocolate cake instead of vanilla. There was no where i could buy any so i made some to satisfy my curiosity. Wow it was delicious...especially with an extra creamy chocolate chestnut glaze ontop...chestnuts..just to tie it all in with the xmas festivities....

An Engagement Party to Remember
Today was a wonderful day! I catered 350 cupcakes for a dear friend of mine who got engaged and married today. It was a beautiful ceremony. The cupcakes were placed throughout the rooms and eaten as a mid morning treat with tea and biscuits. I had to take this picture of a cute little girl enjoying her cupcakes...It was just delightful to look at!

Wedding Fruits Cupcakes
A series of wedding cupcakes i baked over the weekend. The bride specified that she wanted her wedding cupcakes to be tiered into different fruits...must've been beautiful to have hundreds of cupcakes cascading colourfully instead of a normal wedding cake! Im waiting till she gets back from her honeymoon to ask for some pictures! Keep you all posted...

That's how yummy baby thinks of mummy's cupcakes!
Chocolate white chocolate buttercream cake
This is a variation to my chocolate fudge cake since it is frosted with white chocolate buttercream and layered with fudge...A frequent customer of ours wanted to order the marshmallow cake but since she will be taking it to a party late in the evening i suggested something that would maintain better.
This is definitely a one of a kind cake!

Note to Customers
My very close friends runs an organic vegetables and eggs business.Lately i've had the chance to try out their products and incorporated them into my baking.
I have noticed a difference in the taste and hold of my cakes and frostings. Organic eggs really make the cakes fluffier and lighter. For those who have heard of organic but still aren't quite sure what it entails..."Organic egg production is the production of eggs through organic means. In this process, the poultry are fed organic feed. The poultry must have access to the outdoors and are in a cage-free environment. Organic egg producers cannot use antibiotics except during an infectious outbreak. The feed used to feed the chickens are free of GMOs and synthetic fertilization for three years before it can be certified for organic usage."
Organic eggs are healthier for human consumption.I can taste the difference in my cakes... happy eggs means happy cakes...Eventhough they may cost more but i believe in using only the best and healthiest ingredients in our cakes.
We strive to be better and would like to say the we have changed to using organic eggs in all our baking! Happy eggs=Happy cakes..hmmm this could be our new motto!..

Baby turns Two!
Two years have gone by soo fast. I can remember making his first bday cake last year which was a pirate ship. Now this year baby's all grown up and knows what he wants! Its all things cars, hot wheels and mini cooper's ( the new model since granny drives it).Guess it all started with watching disney's "cars", now we're all basiclly tripping over car models strewn all over the house!
This year i made him a chocolate fudge cake with white chocolate buttercream decorated it like a race track.I placed "hotwheels" cars all over the cake's racetrack.Baby was all wide eyed over the cake!
Happy birthday baby Fin..Mummy loves you!

Vanilla Bday Cake!
I love getting orders from customers that have ideas to what kind of cake they would like but thats not on the menu. This means that im able to have free reign over the decoration, resulting in an original cake. This is a vanilla cake with strawberries and whipped cream between the layers. The frosting is strawberry pink buttercream.

Squares and Pansies
This cake was requested by a dear customer of ours. Pansies and chocolate in a squared shape. I was checking up on my icing flowers and had only four pansies left so i had to substitute with other purple flowers...came out pretty nice!My normal brand of cream was out so i had to use this ultra expensive one that hubby brought from paris ( french whipping cream). My gosh the frosting was soo meltingly delicious. However the downside was that the piping didt really hold and it was quite difficult to spread evenly. Having a choice between taste or looks...i would definitely choose taste.

Marshmallow Fudge Cake
Im in love with this cake. It's moist and fudgey with light delicious smooth marshmallowy frosting. To top off this decadence an added bonus of milk chocolate bits mixed into the batter and a crumbling of cake on the marshmallow frosting makes this the most perfect cake ever. I've been meaning to make this cake for ages and always kept it as a reminder. Im delighted that i got around to doing so!
