Bostini Cream Cake

I am officially a daring baker! I have completed my first baking challenge...Bostini Cream Cake.
This cake is consists of orange chiffon cake sitting on a bed of creamy custard and drizzled with warm chocolate sauce.

I really love custard especially with crumbles etc.. I have never tried it with chocolate sauce before and must say that they go together really well. Thankyou Mary of Alpineberry for finding a simple yet delicious dessert that can be made for a dinner party gathering or just to enjoy on your own!

I'll be making this cake again and perhaps next time be using some tropical fruit for the cake for an asian twist....looking forward to next months challenge!

Profiteroles

I love choux buns....these had three different fillings, vanilla icecream, light creme patissier and whipped cream. They were delicious. I dipped each in milk chocolate glaze and served it with dollops of vanilla icecream.

Cheesecake Brownies

These Brownies were from a recipe I took from an australian woman's magazine. Its been quite some time that I've been able to find a really great brownie recipe. This one just excels. The chocolate part is very chewy, moist and fudgey contrasting well with the extra creamy cheesecake swirls.I added lots of milk chocolate chips at the last moment..think it gave the brownies something special...just love to pick them out one by one....

Fudge kit kat cake

Chocolate cake with lots of my favorite chocolate pieces.
This cake is a new recipe I made.

Raspberries and Vanilla cake

This cake is loaded with raspberries. It has a vanilla cake base folded with fresh raspberries layered with raspberry puree and vanilla buttercream frosting. Decorated this cake reminds me of a toy drum... the ones that the little soldiers are holding in the nutcracker..gets me into a christmassy mood!

Carrot Hummingbird

This is something new I tried out today. Hummingbird cake with carrots added to it.It has a new twist to it, very moist banana-carrots and pineapple taste.Pretty cool flavours..thought the carrot looked best on the frosting. Going to search for minature pineapples and banana marzipan toppings...they'd look really great too!

Lemon Butterfly Cupcakes

Most cupcakes come with creamy butter frostings. I wanted to add something fresh, light and fruity to my cupcake menu. The lemon cupcakes i made today are truly delicious. They are filled with sweet and sour lemon curd and sprinkled with icing sugar. This recipe i got from Elinor Klivans cupcake! book.I think a meringue topping would also be great with this cupcake.
