My quest for the perfect strawberry shortcake recipe...I've been trying hard to find a recipe for japanese sponge or shortcake. After many trials and errors i think this may be closest..it's fluffy but a little different since it has crumbly edges, giving the cake some texture...I'll post some more pictures of my other shortcakes soon.
Strawberry shortcake is one of my all-time favorites!! This looks great and I will be giving your version a try.
